SB Architects Shares Design for Río Arts District, an Immersive Mixed-use Destination in Colombia The new hub is a vibrant celebration of art, nature, and Colombian culture, created in alignment with the dynamics of Medellin. The district is comprised of five buildings and open-air pathways that run throughout and encircle the site. The building orientation was guided by how water moves over rocks, boulders, and natural bridges, which informed the circulation flow and pedestrian movement of the design. More >

Construction of Nanjing Dajiaochang Airport Mixed-Use Development is in Full Swing In tandem with two new metro lines that run through the site, the construction of this project has progressed smoothly with three new, interconnected retail blocks rising above ground since the beginning of the year. The development regenerates a 243,768 square-meter historic military airbase site into a contemporary mixed-use project. The scheme envisions a retail-led development seamlessly integrated with the rail network, while transforming the 2.6-kilometer airport runway into a cultural boulevard and vibrant new public space for its citizens.
