Hangzhou Mall
The 273,000sqm shopping mall is located at the heart of the emerging city of Hangzhou North. Adjacent to the main central park, the 5-storey shopping mall is connected to the CBD through a green corridor with a grand canal flowing around the site.
Reflecting the natural surroundings of the development, 10 Design's vision is to create an indoor green paradise for both the community and shoppers to enjoy and feel 'reinvigorated' during each visit at the mall.
To provide an immersive experience of re-invigoration, the key design drivers of the mall interiors are centred around four zones: RE-FLASHING, RE-ACTIVE, RE-CELEBRATION and RE-IMAGINATION.
The illuminated north end of the mall is the RE-FLASHING zone, where shoppers enter into this vibrant main entrance hall. The space features 'knotted' terraces welcoming visitors with a rhythm. The skylights are implemented across this zone to bring natural light into the lower levels, providing a refreshing look and feel of the space.
Above this zone is the RE-ACTIVE floor on the 5th level which features a food hall. It is an open plan layout with a number of F&B island counters. They are designed in different scales and associated with different functions, embracing both greenery and water features for a rich dining experience. The food hall is highlighted with a dynamic roof design for spatial effect.
Adapting to the changing needs of consumers, the rest of the zones (RE-CELEBRATE and RE-IMAGINE) are designed as a stage for a cinematic experience, offering leisure and entertainment amenities.
