Grant Wood
Grant Wood is Director at 10 Design and has over 18 years of architectural experience across Asia, the Middle East, and the UK. Grant has been responsible for the design management and delivery of diverse projects across sectors, ranging from large-scale mixed-use complexes, sports, retail, residential to research labs and office campuses.
Grant’s experience involves all phases of projects from concept design and development, documentation, coordination and project management. Driven by a motivation to design inspiring and enjoyable spaces for all, he has deployed his exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to ensure the timely and quality delivery of projects, as well as the accurate translation of design intent into built reality.
Prior to joining 10 Design, Grant has gained invaluable experience in civic and sports architecture, notably as Lead Architect for Scottish Water’s National Operations Centre and Óriam’ — Scotland’s National Performance Centre for Sport. Grant’s experience also includes a multi-stadium project in the Middle East along with a new 12,000 seat multi-event arena in the UK, designed to be an iconic venue for sport and music events.
Drawing upon his prior experience in design development, building information modeling (BIM), and construction, Grant took charge of teams to deliver Jinwan Huafa International Business Centre and Jinwan Industrial Service Centre in Zhuhai, China. He was the lead architect on a local project for the Hong Kong Jockey Club and Peng Cheng Laboratory Phase 1, a new research and technology campus in Shenzhen. Grant is currently leading the team on major design competitions in Asia and the Middle East while managing a large-scale retail development for Swire Properties in Guangzhou, China.
