Urban Air Mobility

share

In response to the rapid advances in electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) technologies and budding urban air mobility (UAM) sector, 10 Design and our parent company, Egis, are engaged in an ongoing discourse focused on understanding the key parameters, opportunities and constraints around UAM implementation and integration into the built environment.

As architects , our Design Partner Leonard Milford and Associate Partner - Design Jason A. Easter, are developing a number of projects focused around ‘nomadic infrastructures’ to understand how existing citycentres might retroactively adapt to UAM, and how new large-scale urbanisations can supplement to capitalise on the benefits of UAM.

Most importantly, the team is interested in how UAM’s integration into the existing transit system will define everyday user experiences to support sustainable urban development.
