Gordon Affleck adds: "it's a systematic mindset change...in terms of buildings, we need to think of buildings as part of a bigger puzzle. They're part of a wider social network... buildings need to become part of energy production as well as reduction... it's a complex multi-layered challenge which needs a complete mind shift from the populous"
He goes on to say "renovation and restoration are something people are much more willing to invest in today” and that "densification of urban centres is essential"
