Nick Cordingley, Design Partner of 10 Design has been invited to speak at the Chinese Real Estate Design Forum , taking place at Shenzhen Bay Yan Bookstore on 22nd November 2019.

At the forum, Nick will deliver a presentation on ‘Tower Design – A Response to the Urban Context’. He will discuss this topic by drawing the case study of the CIMC Office tower situated within Prince Bay – a new CBD within a wider district of Shenzhen Bay as well as various other office tower examples.

• identify successful urban design when considering an existing urban context and proposed future development – the city skyline

• illustrate how a tower responds to the streetscape when touching the ground – activating the public realm

• highlight BIM as a design tool and natural ventilation strategies for façade design of the CIMC Tower
