share

We’re thrilled to share that Daley Hall, a talented Architectural Intern from our Miami Studio, has been named AIA Student of the Year!

This annual recognition from the AIA honors those who excel in the fields of architecture and design, and Daley is certainly a deserving winner. As a student at the University of Miami, Daley's current projects and love of travel have been invaluable in shaping her outlook, approach to design, and experience at 10 Design.

Let's dive into Daley's journey and how she's achieved this incredible milestone!

Could you tell us more about you, and something you are working on?
I’m currently in my final semester at the University of Miami, working on the design for a high-rise hotel design in Brooklyn, New York, that’s focused on the effect that art has on us as humans.

At 10 Design, we’re currently working on projects in the Middle East. I’ve had the opportunity to turn sketches into models and associated drawings, as well as Photoshop work for submittals.

My favorite thing to do after work is cook or have dinner with friends and do Pilates. I also love to explore new cities and countries when I can.

This past summer, I briefly lived in Japan and studied architecture, and culture there!

Any thoughts on winning the award?
I was shocked and extremely excited to receive the Student of the Year Award, recognition from the AIA means so much!

What are the key takeaways from your time with 10 Design?
Working in Miami with the 10 Design team has been really fun! It's been interesting to see how everyone contributes their individual talents to the development of projects.

Did you always know you wanted to be an architect/designer?
I’ve always known that I loved design and creativity, in school I always felt my best when creating in project-oriented environments, which led me to architecture and design.
