The District of Art & Design is to be a main cultural platform in one of the safest areas in Colombia, set to promote emerging and established artists in all disciplines of the creative community. Balanced with a luxury commercial real estate component made up of major fashion brands, sports, restaurants, art galleries, museums, educational institutions, music production studios, and a boutique hotel, RAD will be an international destination for all visitors to Valle de Aburrá and Valle de San Nicolás entering through the José María Córdova International Airport (MDE).
Named after the dynamic flux of a river (“río” in Spanish), that fluid, constant change is represented in a unifying theme of transformation expressed throughout the project, from rotating murals and exhibitions to stores that shift over time, helping to further position the venue as a creative incubator where businesses can test new ideas and innovations.
