10 Design's latest competition win is the 53,000sqm Zhuhai High Technology District Commercial Hub in the district of East Zhuhai, China. The client, Huafa Group, proposed a brief for a development that provides rich and dynamic social, professional, and personal experience for entrepreneurs and employees who can live and work within a SOHO (small office/home office) environment. This typology of commercial development is to greatly enhance the social and economic benefits for the high tech start-ups intended to invest in this new district.

Miriam Au Yeung, Partner with 10 Design, says, “We are thrilled to receive a second competition win so soon after winning The Core of Zhuhai City Heart in November 2015, a large scale mixed use urban rejuvenation development. Over the years, we have been very fortunate to contribute to the progressive change of Zhuhai. These include the 320m tall super high-rise Shizimen Tower in which St. Regis hotel is scheduled for opening on 30th June 2017; one of the world’s largest shopping malls, the 510,000sqm Summer International Retail Centre, and the award winning Shizimen Infinity Loop Bridge.”

Ted Givens, Design Partner with 10 Design, adds “The design is a fusion of iconic architecture and functional efficiency. The buildings are designed to house and incubate small start-up companies and future-proof planning allows for rapid expansion as needed. Civic rooms and gardens are placed around the site to build community and foster a culture of innovation and interaction.”
