In November, Sean Quinn (Head of Sustainable Design at 10 DESIGN) presented urban farming concepts at the Wise City Symposium (2030 vision for Hong Kong) organised by the French Chamber of Commerce as part of a technology exchange between the Hong Kong and French Government.

With increased need for urban expansion to house Hong Kong’s current and future residents, there is growing concern for the remaining agricultural land in the New Territories.  Reflecting on this trend, 10 DESIGN sought ecological balance to development through a concept design that combines high performance buildings with vertical farming systems.
