A new Green Valley runs through the centre of the site along the north-south axis, connecting the urban edge of the city. The Zhuhai Museum and the natural amenities are to the east and the key aspect of our design to the west and north. The Green Valley provides a major pedestrian and urban link through the site connecting Haibin Park and the city to the south. As one moves through the Green Valley, covered walkways, sunken plazas, bridges, and water and landscape features animate the space to create a new public amenity for the city. The space serves to increase foot traffic through the site to help increase the commercial viability of the retail malls located off to each side. Within this space, sunken plazas provide visibility and access to the basement retail levels. At the second level, exterior walkways, paths, and bridges provide convenient access to second floor retail and functions. These multi-level connections and access points further enhance the commercial viability of the retail component.

The two largest malls are designed to create a more human scale experience in the city. The retail volumes allow for great flexibility and are linked and connected to optimise retail circulation. Most importantly, each of the malls has a unique identity.
