10 DESIGN’s Greatwall Complex receives another accolade at the A&D Trophy Awards 2016.

Greatwall Complex, designed by Nick Cordingley at 10 Design, was recognised with a Certificate of Excellence at the A&D Trophy Awards 2016 for the category - Architecture (Professional) - Commercial, Retail, or Office.

10 Design has designed and delivered an exemplary development in Wuhan, which provides a world class workplace and retail, a vibrant public realm, and a high-performance and sustainable building.

10 Design tested many design options to provide maximum returnable value to the client, but in parallel to give a new civic space in the centre of Wuhan, both for tenants and surrounding residents.

The optimum solution defines a new civic space connected through a series of processional ramp to a new roof top garden on the podium. The ramp allowed all levels of retail to open up at a new raised ground level, thereby maximising leasable value for the client. It also presents a unique pedestrian experience, benefitting from dining opportunities and public art, looking back across the city from a raised elevation.

The financial value of high quality design has been realised through the success of the leasing.  The complex has attracted a number of banking & investment firms and Fortune 500 companies.
